A Highly Stable XOR APUF Based on Deviation Signal Screening Mechanism

By using the XOR method to obfuscate response of Arbiter PUFs (APUFs), ability resist machine learning (ML) modeling attacks can be improved, but this will reduce stable PUF a certain extent, making lose usability. In view this, highly APUF (HS-XOR APUF) circuit is proposed by studying generation mechanism unstable bits and screening characteristics logic gates delay signals. First, maximum minimum signals are screened with AND/OR gate generate bits; Then, inserting inverter in switch unit, time signal increased, influence environmental factors on comparison small deviation weakened; Finally, FPGA experimental results show that stability HS-XOR rarely affected count units, structure simple consumes amount hardware resources, which widely used fields information security.
